Strengthening Regional Energy Leadership:

Based in the UAE, Shoukry will oversee Siemens Energy’s extensive footprint across 29 offices, more than 4,000 employees, and €9 billion in order intake during fiscal year 2025. His appointment reflects the company’s commitment to addressing the rising energy demand in both the Middle East and Africa, where countries are accelerating diversified energy strategies, building localized supply chains, and expanding access to reliable electricity.

Hussein Shoukry’s Experience and Vision:

Shoukry joined Siemens Energy in 2003 and has held several leadership roles over the past two decades. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President for Project Execution, leading a global team of more than 3,500 and managing competence centers in Romania, Mexico, and India. With a degree in Construction Engineering from the American University in Cairo, Shoukry brings a strong technical background and deep familiarity with diverse energy markets across Europe and the Middle East.

In his first statement, he emphasized Siemens Energy’s role as a committed partner in strengthening energy resilience and supporting infrastructure modernization across the region.

“Rising energy demand is reshaping the future of both the Middle East and Africa,” Hussein said. “In the Middle East, countries are embracing a diversified energy mix and building localised supply chains, while in Africa, the priority is expanding reliable electricity access for millions. The region also includes markets where critical energy infrastructure is being rebuilt or modernised.”

“With our broad portfolio in energy technology and longstanding presence, Siemens Energy will remain a committed partner in meeting these needs and strengthening the resilience of the Middle East and Africa’s energy systems.”
